To participate in our internship program, you will be requested to pay a security deposit of $250 NZD. We ask for this deposit to secure your commitment to the internship program. The deposit helps us filter out serious applicants so that we can make sure that we allocate our resources and time effectively.

Don’t lose your deposit

As long as it’s before we secure you a potential internship placement / or are in contact with you about a possible placement, you can easily update your internship start date without any administration charges. Moreover, if you decide to pursue a different opportunity, you can apply your deposit towards a future internship placement.

Refund of the deposit

If we have not managed to secure an internship that meets your expectations on time, we believe we have not fulfilled our commitment to providing an exceptional experience. In such cases, you will be entitled to a refund of your deposit (subject to a small processing fee of $75 NZD).

This $75 NZD fee covers our Credit- Debit Card / banking and handling costs, as well as the extensive support provided by the New Zealand Internships team. This includes sourcing and planning the internship, preparing your profile, and supporting you throughout the application and placement process. While this fee helps offset some of our expenses, it does not cover all costs, and we may incur a loss if we are unable to secure a placement. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

When you apply for our program you will receive an obligation-free quotation from us. The security deposit mentioned above will be included in our program fee and only once we have secured you a placement you will be requested to pay the open balance.

In the unlikely event that your internship placement, due to actions on our part, is unsuccessful (which rarely occurs), you will be entitled to a partial or full refund of any program fees.
