Online Marketing work experience
We are a new age, lightweight, small, flexible business looking to break old paradigms of doing business and marketing. We are a small team of part-timers, apart from a sales & merchandising manager and the managing director, who has a background in fine art, advertising as a creative director, and design. We are passionate about art and design, would like to make a difference to the sustainability of our suppliers and take New Zealand creativity to the world. And, oh, we like to have some fun too.
The business is an online brand, showcasing and selling the works of emerging New Zealand artists and designers. Our aim is to get the products of small creative businesses to a large market at low cost. The company is an inspirational brand with strong brand values that encapsulate: the passion for creativity, ingenuity, โKiwinessโ, accessibility and sustainability.
Intern Duties
This opportunity is as great as the intern is prepared to make of it. The company is still a relatively new business and is growing and changing rapidly, allowing for plenty of scope for the intern to make a significant impact on the growth and direction of the business, particularly in terms of the markets developed. But there will, of course, be some more mundane day-to-day duties to perform.ย The opportunity is to, personally, make a significant difference to our marketing success.
The task is to develop a marketing strategy, particularly through digital media, to grow our database, and to do much of the detailed work in the execution of the plan.ย The challenge is developing new markets in:
- Australia
- UK
- Central Europe
Some specific tasks and duties:
- Help manage the office through general administration, answering the phone, etc.
- Loading content onto the site
- Search Engine Optimisation tasks on the website CMS
- Managing the database
- Social media management and tasks
- Assist in creating/writing media releases and promotions
