Construction Business Developer position
This architecture company is a supplier of its own proprietary rain screen, to the construction industry in New Zealand. They also consult with other companies and on occasion get involved in the contractual side of the business.
Intern Duties
The process starts with specifiers of all types โ Architects, Designers, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Developers and Building Owners. This can lead to contract drawings, testing, engineering, specifications, surveys, site inspections and the sub-contract for installation on new build works.
The Construction Business Developer position of the intern includes the development of current 2d documentation and details. An understanding of AutoCAD, Archicad would be useful but the ability to operate Solid Works or Inventa would be deemed essential. Skills in design and mechanical or architectural drawings of a technical nature would be welcome.
The ideal candidate would need to be comfortable working for a small company, and be participating at every level. The architecture candidate would be able to see the theory of sales, marketing, manufacture and installation in action and the opportunity to see something they have designed manufactured to prototype or production stages.
